Regenerative Medicine

Regenerative medicine has been a real game-changer when it comes to healing. It’s become a popular choice among patients and physicians alike, especially how it works by simply harnessing the body’s own healing process and supercharging it.

In these nonsurgical procedures, cells and other substances with healing properties that are naturally found in a patient’s own body are removed – most typically with a blood draw – and spun in a centrifuge to concentrate its levels, and then reinjected into an area of injury in the patient. These natural substances go to work helping to repair damaged tissue and stimulate new cell growth.

Regenerative and similar therapies provided to clients of Between the Bridges Healing Center include:

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

Blood is drawn from a patient, and the platelets are separated from the rest of the blood during a spin in the centrifuge. The platelet-rich solution is then reinjected into the area of injury, where it increases inflammation, drawing blood to the area and stimulating the growth of healthy new cells. PRP therapy is quickly becoming the go-to remedy for many ailments, including sports injuries, and to repair damaged tendons, muscles, and more.

Prolozone Therapy

This popular treatment involves injecting injured areas – typically in the connective tissue surrounding joints – with a combination of anti-inflammatories, vitamins, minerals, and oxygen to promote collagen production in the injured area. This can help reconstruct weakened joints. Read more about other types of nutritional therapies offered at Between the Bridges.

Bioidentical Hormone Therapy

The use of plant-based synthetic hormones that are molecularly similar to one’s own hormones, in a therapy to replace low levels of certain hormones in the body with these bioidentical versions. Bioidentical hormone therapy is used primarily to relieve menopause symptoms due to lowered levels of estrogen in women, or symptoms of low-testosterone in men.
